The Great Pumpkin

We made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch last weekend.  This time the Justman family came along for the fun.  We had a great time.
James was a little shy at the beginning.

Tim and Rob took the kids on all the rides.  What great guys.  Jill and I sat back and enjoyed the action from afar.  Cute little Charlotte kept us company.

My handsome men...

These two are like two peas in a pod.  They are so similar and have such a great time together.  They get along so well, they don't even have to talk.  I can hear Alison Krauss now...

Matthew says he loved the roller coaster, Tim said otherwise.  Check them out in the back row.  Even Elaine went along for the ride.

Matthew found his favorite pumpkin, unfortunately the farm didn't have any green ones.  But it was small.

James didn't want a good carving pumpkin, he wanted to find the best one for throwing.  He just walked around and threw pumpkins.
And finally, our traditional pumpkin patch photo.  And they actually cooperated!
Thanks Justman family for a great trip!

New Tricks and Knuckleheads...

James isn't any closer to walking, but he loves to hold on to anyone's fingers and cruise around.  Because his hands are occupied, he will use his foot and big toe to point out things or play with toys.
Matthew didn't come home with any new tricks, but I think he aged about a year.  He has now started referring to me as "Knuckle-Mom," which I believe to be a derivative of "knucklehead."
James must eat with a fork now or he isn't happy.  He can't actually fork the food himself, so mealtime has become a lot more demanding.
The boys are starting to really enjoy each other.  Well, maybe it's not that new.  They did have good times, like this.  They were playing on this tunnel and James got excited when he came out of it and could see Matthew.  I love the pointing.
Matthew really is a happy kid.  Promise.  You try to get him to smile for a picture.

The urinals went all the way down to the floor!

This weekend we went out to Gilbert.  We ate at this really fun restaurant called Joe's Farm Grill.  The boys thought the bathrooms were the best.  Especially Matthew, he doesn't often get to use a urinal, since he's out with just me most of the time.  The urinals went all the way down to the floor!  Matthew just couldn't believe it.  The bathrooms had TVs in them and were the cleanest bathrooms I have been in in a long time.  The food was good, too.  Especially the pulled pork sandwich.

Happy Leap Year...

To celebrate Leap Year, we went out to dinner.  Ok, not really, I just didn't want to cook.
Since the weather is so nice, we decided to go to Desert Ridge (it's an outdoor shopping place with lots of places to eat), where we could sit outside and enjoy some live music.  The boys loved it and couldn't stop dancing.  Music is in their blood.

This is how James smiles for the camera now.
This is Matthew imitating James.
James was either done with pictures or having his brother in his face.  I'll let you decide.
Matthew couldn't be happier, though.

I am speed...

Matthew loves to get the car whenever we go to the store. Obviously, James does too. James knows what to do when he gets in. He grabs on to the steering wheel and starts driving. It is the cutest thing. They both honk the little horn and laugh as we go throughout the store. They are so well-behaved when the car is available, so I love it!
