Jacob's Blessing

Today we blessed Jacob at our house.

So he is officially Jacob Castleton Blood. I'm not sure if we ever explained his name. Before he was born we were tossing around a few names, the ones from the poll. Logan, Thomas and Jacob. I was pretty sure it would end up being Thomas. I have loved that name for a long time. Right when he was handed to me for the first time, I wasn't even thinking of names. I was just so excited to hold my baby. But the instant he was in my arms I heard the name Jacob in my head so clear that I knew that that was who this little guy was. Jacob. Castleton is Tim's Grandpa Hughes' middle name. He passed away when Tim was about 15. Tim loves his grandpa so much and has many happy memories of him. So it was only fitting that we named one of our boys after him.

All of the boys. Look at little Devin in the back. He makes Jacob look like a giant! James had been gearing up for his skateboard, hence the random knee pad.

I love these boys! You have no idea how hard it was to get this picture of all 3 of them.

And the man of the day. He is such a good baby. He slept through the night Thursday. It was pretty exciting. Unfortunately, he didn't follow it up Friday with an all-nighter.

Grandpa Huff

We visited my Grandma and Grandpa Huff a few times while we were in Utah.  I realized that I do not have any pictures of my boys with my grandpa, so I had to snap a few.  

My grandpa had a heart attack about two weeks ago.  I am so grateful that he is feeling better.  He's a little worn out, but he's my same old grandpa with his infectious smile.  I love that guy!

Everyone and their dog was there...

Once when I was younger, my dad got off of work a little bit late.  When my mom asked him why he was running late he said, "Everyone and their dog stopped me on my way out."  Confused as to why everyone would have their dog at work, I asked, "Was it take your dog to work day?"  Cute little Monica.

While we were in Utah we made a trip to Gardner Village (my great-great-great-grandpa's place) for some ancestral fun.  Little did we know, every other person (and their dogs) in Utah thought it was a great place to spend a perfect Friday afternoon.  That place was packed!

We took tons of pictures and I never got a single one where all the kids are looking at the camera at the same time.  

I think my boys' favorite part was the petting zoo.  James did get a little carried away pulling on this goat's horn.  I'm surprised it didn't head-butt him.

Matthew loved the little pigs and the huge rabbit.

Why does my text get underlined?  Does anyone know how to fix this?  It is so annoying.

If they don't win it's a shame...

My dad and brother came out for some spring training baseball.  Today we watched our good ol' Mariners play.  Unfortunately the M's lost.  But we had a great time.

Matthew got a foul ball hit be one of the Mariners.  I cannot even tell you how many games I went to growing up, and not once did we have one hit close by.  So it was kind of exciting that my son got one.  Here he is with his trophy.

Matthew and James got matching ASU hats.  

James didn't really like to wear his hat.

Matthew wore his hat "rally-style" in hopes of salvaging the Mariners' score.  Didn't work, but he had a good time anyway.

Spring Training is seriously the best time to catch some baseball games.  It is so much fun!  Thanks, Dad!
