If they lose it's a shame...

On Memorial Day we went to a Diamondbacks game.  Matthew was very excited for the game to start.

James' favorite part was the food.  Loved his hot dog, but the stray peanuts on the ground were even better.

The D'backs started out winning, but began to crumble in the 8th.  Matthew requested his rally hat.  Unfortunately, it didn't work.  Sorry D'backs, we tried.

America's Favorite Pastime

So we made it to the game on the right night, see post below.  It was tons of fun, even though the D-backs lost.  Matthew was going for the blue team (the Padres), so he was pleased with the outcome.  Traitor.  We're not really die hard D-back fans, but since we live in AZ that's who we root for.  I know, it's lame.  But whatever.  (I'm actually an American League girl myself, but beggars can't be choosers.  Go Mariners!)
James sure loved his ticket.  Yummy.

If they don't win it's a shame...

As a graduation present from the boys, we took Tim to a D-backs game last night.  Although we lost, we had a lot of fun.  And I did say graduation!  Tim walks tomorrow!  He is all finished!  No more school!  Wahoo!

Matthew just sat there and "punched" James in the face over and over.  This is exactly how James looked through the whole beating.  He couldn't have cared less (and don't worry, if I thought my child was in serious danger, I would have stopped the attack).  I do think, however, that Matthew may need to watch out in the future.  Baby brother may be stronger.

If they don't win it's a shame...

My dad and brother came out for some spring training baseball.  Today we watched our good ol' Mariners play.  Unfortunately the M's lost.  But we had a great time.
Matthew got a foul ball hit be one of the Mariners.  I cannot even tell you how many games I went to growing up, and not once did we have one hit close by.  So it was kind of exciting that my son got one.  Here he is with his trophy.
Matthew and James got matching ASU hats.
James didn't really like to wear his hat.
Matthew wore his hat "rally-style" in hopes of salvaging the Mariners' score.  Didn't work, but he had a good time anyway.
Spring Training is seriously the best time to catch some baseball games.  It is so much fun!  Thanks, Dad!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame...

Go Diamondbacks!

Doesn't that look comfy?

Yeah! The Diamondbacks won! We're not bad luck!
James and Matthew must be our good luck charms!
